Stefan Kraft confirms himself in great shape this weekend on the large ski jump HS130 in Lahti and, after yesterday’s triumph on an individual level, drags Austria towards success in today’s men’s team event valid for the Ski Jumping World Cup 2021-2022.
The 28-year-old from Oberalm was the great protagonist of the Austrian victory, with two sensational jumps in which he made the difference by trimming huge gaps against direct opponent Peter Prevc, representative of Slovenia in the fourth and final rotation of both series.
The Austrian team, also formed by Jan Hoerl, Clemens Aigner and Ulrich Wohlgenannt, won for the fourth time this season out of five races (including the Olympic one in Beijing), ahead of the Slovenians Ziga Jelar, Cene Prevc, by 5.5 points in the standings. Timi Zajc and Peter Prevc.
Behind the two most competitive teams in the lot, it was Germany that prevailed in the challenge for third place on the podium thanks to the contribution of Constantin Schmid, Severin Freund, Markus Eisenbichler and Karl Geiger. Fourth, almost 30 points behind the top 3, was a disappointing Norway (Marius Lindvik, Robert Johansson, Daniel Andre Tande and Halvor Egner Granerud).
