Rugby, Six Nations 2022: Ireland in X-rays. Watch out for Hansen and returning Lowe

The Guinness Six Nations 2022 is back and after the week of rest, Kieran Crowley’s Italy flies to Dublin on Sunday to face Ireland. Another tough challenge for the Azzurri, veterans of the knockouts against France and England, and an opponent aiming for success to return to the title race after the defeat in Paris.

Ireland made it to the tournament among the must-see favorites for the final victory after the nice win in November against the All Blacks. And the Irish confirmed their debut, dominating the match against Wales, before falling short against the other big favorite, France. And now Andy Farrell aims to regain success to keep the pressure on the French Alps.

Compared to the first two releases, the technician finds one of his stars . James Lowe , New Zealander but equal, returns after the knee injury and the strong winger of Leinster was one of the proponents of the success against New Zealand. Author of nearly 40 goals with the dubliners, he made his debut in 2020 with Ireland and has already scored three goals in eight appearances .

To replace Lowe in the first two games, however, was Mack Hansen and now it will be difficult for the Irish coach to deprive himself of the 23-year-old originally from Canberra, Australia, who wears the Irish shirt thanks to his mother from Cork. In his first two caps with Ireland the winger took the Player of the Match award on his debut and scored a fantastic try against France . In short, Italy is facing a very strong team that has its most dangerous weapons at bay.
