NBA 2022, the results of the night (April 1): Milwaukee beats Brooklyn in extra time. Still defeats for Philadelphia and the Lakers

There are five games of the NBA night. An exciting challenge between Brooklyn and Milwaukee, with the Bucks winning after an extra time for 120-119. Giannis Antetokounmpo is the great protagonist with his double double of 44 points and 14 rebounds, but above all for the triple of the draw in the final of the fourth quarter and then with the decisive free throws for the victory in the final seconds of the overtime. A Kevin Durant with 26 points and 11 assists was not enough for the Nets, but KD missed the winning basket twice between the end of regulation and extra time.

A heavy knockout for the Nets, which are reached in the standings by Atlanta , who have demolished a Cleveland increasingly in crisis. It ends 131-107 for the Hawks, dragged by Trae Young’s 30 points and Kevin Huerter’s 23, while Gallinari was still absent due to an elbow problem. The fight for a better position in the Play-In becomes very heated : Cleveland is seventh with a record of 42-35, then immediately behind there are paired Brooklyn, Charlotte and Atlanta with 40-37.

Those who risk not even playing the Play-In are the Los Angeles Lakers, who have suffered their fourth consecutive defeat. The Californians are currently in 11th place (31-45) behind the New Orleans Pelicans (33-43) and the San Antonio Spurs (31-45). Without LeBron James and Anthony Davis (they could both return tonight against the Pelicans) the Lakers could do nothing against the Utah Jazz, who won 122-109 with 29 points from Donovan Mitchell.

The Philadelphia 76ers are out of the race for the Eastern Conference lead. A small crisis has opened for Doc Rivers’ team, which reached their third consecutive knockout and also beaten by the Detroit Pistons for 102-94 . A 29-15 final quarter was decisive for Detroit, who had a Cade Cunningham with 27 points, while a Joel Embiid with 37 points and 15 rebounds was not enough for Phila.

A 50-point DeMar DeRozan leads the Chicago Bulls to victory over the Los Angeles Clippers by 135-130 after extra time. The former Spurs is the absolute protagonist in the comeback from -11 in the last four minutes of the game, even he missed one of the three free throws he had in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. In the overtime DeRozan then continued his dominance, leading the Bulls to an important victory that consolidates the fifth place. For the Clippers excellent performance by Reggie Jackson, author of 34 points.
