Moto3 and Moto2, GP Indonesia 2022: Denis Foggia and Celestino Vietti set the best time in the warm-up


The Italian riders shine after the warm-up of Moto3 and Moto2, with Denis Foggia and Celestino Vietti setting the best time, sending very important signals in view of the race.

In Moto3 it was therefore the Team Leopard rider who placed himself in front of everyone with the time (1’39 “867), almost half a second ahead of the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (+0.412). Third position for the Australian Joel Kelso ahead of Elia Bartolini.

Eighth place for the Spaniard Carlos Tatay (1’40 ”604), who will start from pole position in the race. Ninth position for Andrea Migno (1’40 “687). Xavier Artigas eleventh at almost a second, while the other Spaniard Jaume Masia is thirteenth. Much behind the other Italians: twenty-fourth Riccardo Rossi, right in front of Matteo Bertelle.

In Moto2, Celestino Vietti commands. Excellent performance by the VR46 team driver, who stops the clock at 1’36 ”013, just five thousandths better than Sam Lowes. Third place for pole-man Jake Dixon (+0.144), while fourth is Pedro Acosta (+0.173) ahead of Somkiat Chantra (+0.227).

Ninth place for Tony Arbolino (1’36 ”385, +0.372) ahead of Simone Corsi (+0.455). Thirteenth position for Bo Bendsneyder and fifteenth for Albert Arenas. Further back the other Italians: Lorenzo Dalla Porta (25th), Romano Fenati (26th), Niccolò Antonelli (27th).
