Milan-Sanremo 2022: when to run, program, schedules, TV, calendar, streaming

As per tradition, the Milan-Sanremo will be the first of the Classic Monumento also in 2022. The 113th edition of the Classicissima will be held on Saturday 19 March 2022, embellishing the very rich spring calendar of road cycling.

In the last edition, the Belgian Jasper Stuyven found the success with extraordinary action in the last 3 km, bringing Belgium the second consecutive victory after that of Wout Van Aert in 2020. Also this year, as always, they will be the best runners on the international scene to compete for the victory at the finish line in via Roma, from Tadej Pogacar to Julian Alaphilippe, passing through Wout Van Aert, Sonny Colbrelli and Filippo Ganna.

The great novelty of the route will be the departure in an exceptional venue, which has made the history of two wheels: the Vigorelli Velodrome. The headquarters of the Six Days of Milan, a historic track event up to the 1980s, as well as the arrival point of some editions of the Giro di Lombardia and stages of the Giro d’Italia, will host the start of the Milan-Sanremo for the first time. After two years of absence, the Passo del Turchino returns , located in the middle of the planned 293 km. The final, as always, will host historic climbs of Capo Mele, Capo Cervo, Capo Berta, up to the Cipressa and then to the Poggio, after which there will be only 6 km to go to the finish.
