Ferrari has announced the introduction of the Rosso F1-75 Opaco color palette in the palette for road-approved cars.
Ferrari ‘s one-two at the Bahrain circuit, on the occasion of the first Grand Prix of the season, took everyone by surprise. Thanks to the unfortunate retirement in the final laps for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, caused by the power-unit, the Prancing Horse is back to… neigh. To celebrate the superb result brought home by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz and to get closer to the team’s supporters, the Italian manufacturer has decided to make the Rosso F1-75 Opaco color available for the entire product portfolio.
In fact, through a press release published via Twitter, the company confirmed that the now iconic color of the F1 car for the current championship will be introduced in the already well-stocked palette, among the many options proposed by the Car Configurator . Therefore, any road homologated car will show matte F1-75 Red in the Paintwork section for sports fans. Who have been waiting for a long time to rejoice at such a result, after years of disappointment and bitterness.
In this regard, one statistic is symptomatic: this is the first 1-2 since 2019, since Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc shone in the Singapore Grand Prix . Compared to then, the affirmation came in the inaugural GP of a tournament where the company trusts to play with the top teams until the end. The premises bode well, also considering what happened in Saudi Arabia.
Will it also be there for the Purosangue?
Compared to the canonical Rosso Corsa , as you can immediately notice, the hue tends more towards a dark gradation and has a satin finish rather than a glossy one. The show is guaranteed for any Ferrari-branded model, of any price and performance. It is not currently known whether the Rosso F1-75 Opaco will also be offered for the Purosangue crossover, whose debut in dealerships will take place at the end of 2022.
