Brembo, 2021 positive: revenues grow by more than 25%


The Brembo Group closed 2021 with better results than 2020: revenues grow by more than 25 percent and profit soars to 215.5 million.

Brembo closes 2021 with a net profit of € 215.5 million, up by 57.9 per cent compared to 2020. Revenues also rise, amounting to € 2.78 billion, an increase of 25%. 8 percent compared to the previous year. The board of directors will propose to the shareholders’ meeting the distribution of a dividend of 0.27 euro per share.

Ebitda also closed positively, reaching 502.7 million (+ 18.1%). Investments amounted to 236.2 million. Net financial debt decreased by 71.5 million compared to 30 September 2021. Revenues in the fourth quarter were 735.8 million (+ 13.4%). Net income before financial charges was € 46.9 million (6.4% of revenues), while net income amounted to € 63.3 million (8.6% of revenues).

Markets and applications

From a geographical point of view, all the markets where the Brembo Group is present recorded growth in 2021 compared to 2020. Sales in Italy reported a + 31.1%, in Germany a + 24.6%, in France a + 15.1%, in the United Kingdom + 17.7%. With regard to non-European countries , China reported a development of 28.8%, India 28.2, while Japan closed at + 12.1%. South America increased by 22.0%, while North America by 25.2%.

With regard to segments, car applications see a plus 22.1 per cent, those for motorcycles plus 55.2 per cent, commercial vehicles plus 26.3 per cent, while the racing sector plus 22.7 per cent. percent.

Brembo also announced on the occasion that Laura Cioli , an independent director, has resigned from the board of directors due to the accumulation of offices, following a new professional commitment. By co-optation he replaced her with Manuela Soffientini .
